FAQ

What is bannock?

Bannock is a type of bread, first introduced to Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island (Canada) by Scottish and other European settlers with wheat and barley flours. Similar in texture to a scone or biscuit, baked bannock is the perfect vessel for jam or honey, or dipped in stew.

How long does bannock stay fresh?

After receiving your bannock, either at a market or picked up locally, baked bannock is best enjoyed within 3 to 4 days. It can also be frozen for up to 6 months in an air tight container or freezer bag.
